Bohananza is a fast paced trading game that requires cooperation and strategy to win. The objective of the game is to grow yourself enough of a variety of bean in your two different beanfields to be able to sell them for a coin(s). The person with the most amount of coins at the game's end wins.
What really makes the game exciting is how the game is played out. Every player is given a hand with different types of beans, these beans may be planted or traded between other players. Since any beans that aren't traded have to be planted and you may only have one type of bean in every field, your plans could potentially be ruined because you may have to sell one of your beanfields before the maximum profit is reached to plant those unwanted beans. Hence the use of trading between players to rid yourself of useless beans and trade them for the beans you want. This means to be competitive you must also help your competition collect their beans, so you will have to use strategy when trading to get the best deal as some beans are of more value then others. Plus with the ability to exchange coins for an extra bean field this game can become even more competitive.
With up to 7 players all playing at once this game is excellent for the whole family to play at once. It has clear and easy instructions that can be easily taught to children and hilarious cartoon bean pictures to distinguish between the varieties of beans. If you are looking for a entertaining quick and easy game to play with friends or one that the whole family can enjoy, then this is the right game for you. Overall out of the many board and card games I own, this is definitely one of my favourites based on the countless hours of intense and exhilarating social game play, I rate it 5/5.
