May contain spoilers. I'll try not to state anything not already shown in trailers.

Borderlands 2 plays very differently from the original. While it keeps the base elements of RPG progression and large intertwining storyline of the original there are alot of changes to the gameplay.

Elemental damage is generally pointless on an enemy type unless it is specifically designed for it (e.g. Shock damage weapons are only useful on shielded enemies, whereas on the original shock damage would still rack up more damage than a non elemental weapon), a new elemental type has been introduced: “Slag”, when a enemy is slagged it allows you to deal double the original amount of damage you would normally deal.

The AI in the game have been improved alot (in the original, if you hit a skag in a vehicle it would either splat or stay on your bumper doing damage, but in borderlands 2 if you hit an animal with a vehicle, you bowl it over). There are a bunch of new enemies including: threshers, goliaths and stalkers.

Weapon manufacturers now have different specialities (e.g. Jakobs from borderlands 1 used to specialise in powerful weaponry but fired very slowly, in borderlands 2 jakobs weapons fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, but aren't much more powerful anymore.) S&S munitions no longer exist. Eridian weapons have been replaced with E-Tec weapons that can be found by every manufacturer and tend to fire either spikes, railgun shots, or plasma balls.

The skill tree from the first game is very similar but instead of one tree with three sides it now shows three different sides. Instead of elemental artifacts that you would equip in the first game you now have “relics” which equip to your player for added bonuses.

Borderlands 2 now supports splitscreen over the net and LAN as well allowing you to play online with a friend.

Borderlands 2 keeps the humor of the original and does a very good job of making you hate the main enemy handsome jack, by the time you fight him. It could use a few patches as items tend to fall through the map from time to time which can become frustrating especially when it is a mission based retrieveal item.

Borderlands 2 doesn't feel like borderlands, but it is still a great game, and deftinitely one not to be missed.

If you love open world games this is for you. With billions of guns to choose from let the killing begin. Includes 1 player and co-op so you can play together with friends online and off. With loads of things to do and tons if enemies to face including brutal ones this is a game you don't wanna miss out on.

It is safe to say that Borderlands has cemented itself as a game for the ages! A game you can pick up and easily never put it down. Can't wait to see where this game goes in the future and whether a Trilogy is the plan

Excellent game. The only reason it doesn't get full 5 is due to the screen cramping of the menu system when playing co-op campaign. Good use of perk system.

One of my top favourite games

Only 1–4 player, RPG-FPS, with good (ish) plot and highly amusing side quests I've seen. This is a must have for people that want to have an over the top rampage with ludacris weapons and special abilities.

Simply epic, highly recoment buying !!!

The game for me has moments of fun but I hate nearly everything about it. Particularly the way everything respawns, including containers, monsters and named bosses, every time you quit and load the game. I just can't cope with that.

I hate the damage and XP floaters and the big red CRITICAL that pop out of enemies when you shoot them.

I hate the look of the game, not just the cartoony graphics but the design of for example the bullymongs. They just look stupid.

I hate that you can't save and load where you want. Eh- It's 2013! Are you telling me that it's technically too challenging for them-

I hate that when I die I respawn.

What I did like is how your health doesn't auto regenerate. OMG, finally a shooter where you actually have to heal yourself when you get hurt! And it takes a realistic amount of time (well less UN-realistic than most games) to reload your gun. That's cool.

It's also humorous, has great music and excellent voice acting. I like that you can pick a class and customise your character.

I haven't got very far into it but I've seen enough. I could just about cope with the floaters, the goofiness and the cartoony graphics, after all they're what Borderalands is all about, but the respawn simply ruins the game for me.

One of the most EPIC games EVER! very pleased with this and is recommended :)

Everything I loved about the first game, but better. Better co-op, better contextual controls and more great humour.

Amazing game for those who are sick of all The perfectly realistic shooters coming out. Forget reality and blow stuff up!

Being a huge Borderlands fan, I was not disappointed when I finished this. Great campaign, great co-op, awesome DLC and heaps of replay value. Highly recommended.

Awesome, big improvement over the 1st game! Even though the package had already been opened when it arrived…not happy about that, but overall a great game!

Borderlands 2 has hours upon hours of fun involved. And with constant updates from the developers and great DLC it just keeps on adding to a great game. Must buy.

The amount of easter-eggs and references to other games, or movies in this game is incredible! So much fun to play, The gameplay is a lot smoother than Borderlands 1, with little, to no lag at all. Co-op is also a lot of fun, and so many side quests to keep yourself busy. One of my favourite games :D

This game is the best out of both 1 and 2 great game and so addictive

Buy this game and I swear you will have a good time. Just a heads up, apply for leave from your job now because you'll want to play this game non stop all day

Great game – would thoroughly recommend to anyone who likes a good quest solving game! Online experience is also very good and gives the impession of Call of Duty mixed with skyrim. Really good. Graphics can get patchy in some areas

Pretty much the first game with all those finishing touches and lots of extras. Good job 2k Games and Gearbox. Definitely a game worth purchasing.

I pre-Ordered this game because i loved number one i like number 2 But in number 2 they seem to enjoy pushing players 2 hard right from the get go if i didnt have the gold guns as a pre-order gift i think i would have got mad trying to kill the first boss with a pistol i give it a 7 out of 10
