"Excellent, new actors great!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Originally disappointed at changes but soon realized the new actors were an acceptable improvement. Storyline still very good and programme brings memories back of ‘the way we were’ and the advances in the medical and other fields over the passing years.

"Excellent Period Drama"
4 stars"

This is a great english series. The village that is filmed in is an historic village and looks exactly like it did in the 1950's.

"The whole four series are well worth looking at."

Why watch boring cooking and reality programmes on TV, when you can watch a quality television series as this series.

Celebrating British country life circa 1950s, Born and Bred is the much revered TV series created by Chris Chibnall and Nigel McCrery (Silent Witness, New Tricks). Exploring the story of a close-knit family and the many unique characters that exist in the village of Ormston, Born and Bred is a delightful peek into an old-fashioned world.Series 4 continues the lively saga of Ormston as resident doctor Tom Gilder (Michael French) is away visiting his father in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Deborah (Jenna Russell) and locum doctor Donald (Richard Wilson) set up a blood bank at the hospital to ensure there is ready supply for emergencies. But news of a serious accident involving Tom sends the small community into a spin and the concern is all too real for Deborah. The Cosgroves prepare for their latest foster child Laura and Jean and Eddie become temporary landlords at the pub whilst Phylis recuperates from an injury. Nick Logan (Oliver Milburn)settles in but has no trouble in catching the attention of the ladies, especially Deborah's younger sister Nancy.
