Areeba Nishat developed a passion for writing when she was very young. She has always dreamt of becoming a published author and do her part to make this world a better place. According to her, this is something which is inherent to her and not acquired over time. She has been writing for a long time on various platforms and blogs under the penname of "WINTERPHOENIX". Her writings reflect the contemporary society and issues plaguing it. They range from expressing her emotions to raising voice about women empowerment, rape, sexual abuse, bullying and saving environment, etc. She is a motivator, and finds beauty in all the God's creations. Areeba is a deep-thinker, a quality she believes, is a must in every writer. When she is not busy with either writing or reading, she loves to play with her cat, do craft work and hang out with her friends. She is passionate about languages, history, geography, philosophy and social work. Born from the Ashes is her first book, a collection of poems in which she has bared her pieces of soul.
