Description

What are the most valuable things that you should know as we head into the future? Matthew Holland started writing 'Break the Simulation' in April 2019. The author states: "I was in a refreshed state of mind and in an unexpected urge to share existential philosophical and epistemological concepts, as well as educate on deep metaphysical mentality and its connection to our lives and why it should be important to you, no matter who you are and where you are in your life, whether you are 14 years old and just starting your journey or are 95 years old and still feel like you have so much more to give. In this text, I hope to provide several profound and practical principles for how to live a meaningful life, as well as key thoughts to the future and what you should try your best to focus on. I draw on vivid examples from my educational practice and personal life, thinking in the new age of psychology, philosophy, and creativity, as well as lessons from humanity's oldest concepts. 'Break the Simulation' offers a deeply rewarding message to make an impact in our lives: eternal truths applied to our modern problems. I am fascinated by our subjective perception of reality, that we are all stuck in a very singular point of view, a singular perspective on what we all agree to be an objective reality, and reading is one of the ways in which we have to see the same things from the same point of view and it is up to our own interpretation to carry that. To be is to be perceived and to be perceived is all we have to experience our entire existence. Your perception, how you do things, and how you think is everything."
