Description

A vital and urgent guide to decreasing antibiotic use and protecting children from the "superbug" crisis Bacterial infections are becoming progressively resistant to the only medicines that can treat them-antibiotics. This resistance is quickly developing because antibiotics are given to children who don't need them, particularly children with viral infections. The timely Breaking the Antibiotic Habit approaches the crisis in a straightforward and practical manner, explaining to parents how to distinguish between viral and bacterial infections, and how to effectively work with their doctor to use antibiotics only when necessary. * Gives expert information on over-the-counter remedies and natural supplements-which are best for specific symptoms, and which to avoid altogether
