Description

BUEHRING 1 is the first book of the ΔS:: BUEHRING series which portrays Soldier art found at US Military Base Camp Buehring, in the scorching desert of Kuwait. From 2003 to present, hundreds of thousands of American and International Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and contractors have occupied, trained, and transited through the base, often leaving their mark in the form of painted war murals, graffiti, and artwork done on concrete T-walls, bunkers and the like. The artwork provides a stark portrait of the base's decay while maintaining its strength and dignity. As part of the MNS ENTROPICA Series, it relays 'elegance despite entropy'. Photos were taken by MNS at the end of a final overseas military tour in early 2019. Find out more over at mnsmain.co
