Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Platinum) reviews

Modern Warfare 2 wasn't just my first Call of Duty. It was my first FPS, first R-rated game, first multiplayer experience. I played the ‘Cliffhanger’ demo endlessly to perfection before finally getting myself a copy. The multiplayer has aged significantly but for it's time it was second to none! The maps remain iconic classics and many memories were made. It's a shame you'll never find a game anymore. Spec Ops was fresh and exciting! A challenge only enjoyed by a few but a fun experience for me and my mates. The campaign is what will keep you coming back. Pure adrenaline, fantastic setpieces, a story that grips you and keeps you coming back. Riding a snowmobile down a mountain, running through the streets of a heavily populated city avoiding civilians in pursuit of your target, fighting through an airplane graveyard of waring factions, skipping No Russian because you're a wholesome lad… Not to mention moments that made men and boys cry, “No more loose ends…”, “History is written by the victors”. “This is the message”. Cheesy yet serious writing. A short masterpiece of a campaign. Modern Warfare 3 either improved or destroyed everything this game helped build (personally MW3 is my fav) but you cannot deny that THIS game is LEGENDARY! COD4 Modern Warfare may had revolutionized the first-person-shooter genre, but MW2 perfected so much of what we are still enjoying to this day. If the money hungry people at Activision were to announce a campaign only remaster, I for one would not be disappointed. Most importantly, you could play this for the first time today and it holds up like few games can.

Arrived quick, good condition

The Call of Duty brand has brought us many great games such as modern warfare one, world at war and the much loved black ops. This is game rocked the world in 2009 and 10 as thousands played its enthralling multi-player. With amazing graphics and game quality this is really a cut above the rest. If you love fast paced action/shooter games this is definantly for you. The attention to realism is outstanding and really brings out the best a game can offer. Great work to the makers!

Definetly buying more from mighty ape

One of the best, an as part of my COD collection is fantastic, online or career this is still one of the best FPS u can play. Now u can just play it at a cheaper price… PLATINUM YEAH!!

Loved the campaign and the online is awesome aswell

I am sorry, but I truly believe this game should not be on sale / sellable. It has ahckers in every map, it was left by Infinty ward to be totally overrun by hackers and they have not been removed. Why should they make money selling us a broken game that we will be bullied on by criminals– Spare me. And please remove this title – AND Modern Warfare 3 which is now overrrun similarly by players with invisibility and invincibility hacks – and ensure no one pays hard=earned $ for either of these broken titles. it is theft.

And it commenced his journey into becoming a gaming black-belt – embarrassing to have your son kick your arse – though to his credit and the game, well done.

Still plenty of players only good reason to keep playing this game

The ultimate FPS that has a great 1 player storyline and an even better multiplayer mode. What tops it off is the co-op multiplayer. This is a must for any FPS or COD fan!

I had seen much comment about this game before purchasing it and had high expectations.

Once I played the game those expectations were lived up to and I cannot put the controller down. The action gets fast paced and the gameplay is smooth and realistic. Well done.
