Peter Haase has always been fascinated with the ocean and with sailing. At the age of 57, he was at last able to fulfill his childhood dream. Early retirement from a major trading company in New York allowed him to embark on a life on the sea. He had an opportunity to sail around the world in a 42-ft. ketch. Haase lives in Stuart on the east coast of Florida, where he remains near the water that he loves.
