"All hail the Marvel King. Captain America is Awesome!"
5 stars"

Marvel have been dishing out heaps of movies and every one has tried to be bigger and better. So much so that a lot of them are pure awesome spectacle without any substance. Captain America: The winter soldier is everything you want out of a big budget spectacle but with a amazing solid story and acting thrown in to boot. The visuals are extraordinary and the action sequences will leave you in slack jawed amazement. Most of all the Story that is spun is clever and so well played out that it elevates this feature above just another awesome movie. The performances are great and in my opinion the greatest ones are from star Chris Evans who is Captain America and makes you believe in the character and a stellar performance from Robert Redford. The old guy still has it and does an amazing turn in his role. Truly one of the best Marvel movies to date and in my opinion even better than the Avengers.

"A nice addition to a slowly bloating genre"
4 stars"

In today's day and age the entertainment industry has become about nothing except for sequel, after sequel, after prequel, after sequel. If they're not careful not only will this franchise become tired and stale, the entire genre itself will become dissatisfying – similar to how the age of the underdog cop of the 70's and 80's became a cliche (although the Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Eddie Murphy films will always be classics).

As a result of this fact I felt that they're really beginning (note this word, beginning) to stretch the individual story lines of the Marvel Heroes. Captain America really has become just a clash between real-world idealism vs realism (hell, it even showed in Avengers). While this isn't bad to explore in the least, the plot is cliche because we always know the idealist view will always win while throwing the realist view away to follow story conventions (HYDRA THIS, HYDRA THAT, HAIL HYDRA).

Sorry went off on a tangent but my point still stands. Though in the end when I saw this movie I did enjoy it, and would recommend it for anyone to watch.
