This is the same basic classic “settlers of catan” game, except Star Trek themed. The sci-fi twist is fun and novel but won't work too well if you're planning to buy any catan expansion packs. If you just want the base level game though it's great (although a little harder to see visually as things tend to blend together a bit more on the board landscape than the traditional game). Great for any Trekkies out there in particular.
Fun game for the most part,maybe just a little simplistic.
I bought this as a christmas gift for my brother, He loved it but there wasnt enough stands for all the pieces and one of the ships was broken
