Charlie, the baby goat, was in trouble. He was born in the cold of winter along with two brothers. Mama goat now had three new kids. She was expecting only one or two. How was she going to feed and take care of all three? This is the story of Charlie's adoption, recovery, and eventual return to his goat family.

Author Biography

Marjorie Jackson is a retired educator, having served as middle school language arts teacher, adjunct professor of English, and elementary school librarian. She earned a B.A. at the University of Rochester and an M.A. at the University of Michigan. Her post-graduate work was done at the University of Missouri Kansas City and at Central Missouri State University. She and her husband, Ken, have four grown children and live in the Missouri countryside halfway between Kansas City and Springfield. They like to feed the birds, watch the deer and turkeys, and chase away the raccoons, 'possums, and armadillos. Janice Santero lives in the country near Clinton, Missouri, with her husband, Guido. Together they have a blended family of three sons and two daughters, plus the world's most wonderful grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janice served as an oral surgery assistant and as a Kansas City district sales manager for Avon. She has also owned a knit shop and a floral business. She loves to knit, crochet, and play the piano. She is the pianist at her church, and she sings and plays for various groups near her home. Always close to her side is her little dog, Trixie. Cats Sweetie and Teeny also prowl her yard.
