Toby had always dreamed of riding into adventures, so he had left the farm behind to follow that dream. He was getting low on funds and woke up one morning with a man, Jacob, talking about a job that Toby had agreed to. Toby did not remember any of it. Joining Toby and Jacob on this job is Alex Turner. Alex looks, walks, and acts like a gunslinger, but there is something different about Alex that Toby can't quite figure out. When that job is over Alex and Toby ride out into the sunset in search of other adventures. Toby finds out what makes Alex special and a lot more.

Author Biography:

Heather Mantler is a student of psychology. She lives in Prince George, British Columbia and is a member of the writing group Scribblers Unanimous. Heather is always working on another story as she hopes to finish every story idea that she has ever written down. She was a nominee for the fiction category of the 2012 Prince George Regional Arts and Cultural Awards and short listed for the 2013 John Harris Fiction Awards.
