Christopher Reeve soared to fame in the role of Superman in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1995 his career was cut short by a freak horseback-riding accident that left him paralyzed. However, he regained feeling in some parts of his body. He has written his autobiography and continues to work as an actor and director.
