It features a medium weight 4×2 wheel drive truck produced by German company Adam Opel AG. The 3 ton version entered the production in 1937 and was the main transport source of the German armed forces in all theatres and was evolved into a myriad of useful battlefield roles beyond the standard transport model.
The vehicle could be charged with moving supplies, ammunition, medical litters, troops, artillery shells, fuel stores, gun carriers and others. Additionally, the truck could be converted to more military-minded forms as radio stations, command posts and mobile offices for higher-ranking officials.
