Description

Inside the author offers an hilarious assortment of satirical comedy sketches for the reader's edification. In [section 1] we are treated to a 'cornucopia' of mirth-inducing sketches based on the author's earlier life. In one particular sketch, we see the author's literal insistence on norm-referenced, kebab-ordering protocol, maintaining that the proprietor MUST offer salad to the customer and not expect the customer to ask first for it when ordering a complete doner kebab; this insistence gives rise to a possible deal-breaking argument with his local kebab shop keeper. He fares no better at Subway, where his hunger, impatience and aversion to the multitude of questions befalling an unsuspecting customers, lands him in a physical confrontation with security. On a lighter note, he reminisces fondly about the time he regaled his female colleagues at BT on a switchboard line with a picture of his parents - in reality, it was a picture of two gurners, which was duly passed down the line along with everybody else's family photos, reducing the female telephone operators to hysterics. In [section 2] we see a multitude of icons mercilessly sent up. Amongst other take offs, he savagely lampoons Nigella Lawson's - At the table - who treats her guests to a Colombian culinary finale - cupcake cocaina! We also see what happens when two well-known jailbird sociopaths meet and we reconnect with some of the best names in comedy in a kindly mock up of their idiosyncratic foibles. In [section 3] the Devil poses a contradiction. On the one hand, he blackmails and extorts his local corner shop proprietor repeatedly whilst procuring various dubious goods and services; on the other hand, he betrays his kindly, fatherly side by purchasing Roses Chocolates for his wife, Haribo sweets for the 'little one' and a get-well-soon card for his neighbour! God actually becomes friends with the Devil, who regularly have heart-to-hearts [ at the Devil's casino in Las Vegas ] to discuss POLICY, THE PROGRAM, AND THE PLAN for lowly mankind. In [section 4] the writer lampoons senior citizens and their predilection for bickering. He proposes a radical solution to obscene bickering on public transport - "jab the old mincers with sedative-filled hypodermics in the back of the neck!"In the final section, the author sends up iconic US cartoon characters - "Bert and Ernie" and "Koyote and the Roadrunner" along with a sobering guide to not pissing off your trailer-trash, redneck girlfriend.ENJOY!
