Personally I think the first decade of the C&C series are great!, and having them all in this one package, gives you the feeling of what C&C has brought us through the years.

If you were keen on buying the First Decade, you would get to know the amazing story lines in all of the C&C games, have a great time playing them, as the games have such different styles of game play to suit anyone, and also the fact that mostly all of the games would run on any machine, apart from some of the later editions such as Generals, and Generals Zero hour.

EA have released patches which address the stability problems the previous reviewer mentions. I would rate this as a ‘must have’ for RTS-newbies, or those who only have one ZH license (or RA2, or Gens, or…) and want to lan at home with friends. The bonus DVD is good if you're new to CNC. Not exactly rivetting, but, still, quite funny, and worth a look.

What I like is that I can play the original CNC on a win xp pro (64 bit ed.) pc, with an ati x1800×l, and it plays as reliably (in fact better) than many other games that were built for modern platforms. EA deserve credit for bringing the games up to date, without changing the look, feel, or gameplay of the original.

Finally, I hate swapping CDs/DVDs to play different games. While CNC TFD requires the DVD in to play, at least it's only one DVD to play any one of the twelve games.

Great way to reminisce that revolutionized the RTS genre! Great fun and an easy way to burn away some hours especially coming into winter

All the classics C&C games are here and work well. Even C&C Renegade the only FPS in the series so far. One issue however. C&C Genrals and it's expansion Zero Hour don't work with Windows 7. Everything else is fine though.

3 Words. Not Been Tested. There are bugs in this game that would have been easly picked up if any testing had been done. Most of the LAN play options have been removed, a bit disapointing. Overall, a very dissapointing buy, U'd be better off picking up an older machine and purchasing individual copies of the game.

Such an awesome idea to have all the early C&C games (and expansions) available on a single disk, all these games are classics and I haven't had any trouble playing them on vista.

The series is really cool… 1 Star because of the great games inside. But this compilation is so buggy, it's unplayable!! You'll be lucky if you can get a solid 5 minutes gameplay before it crashes! Not to mention multiplayer is very limited.

EA has some serious issues, and they need to really stop releasing rubbish like this to make a quick buck.

Until EA make a patch that actually fixes the problems, then it's not worth the buy. Set up an old PC and buy them seperatly.

Like most C&C fans who got this, I'm very dissapointed!

Most of them don't work on windows 7 64 bit even after alot tweaking and patching. Also you can't do LAN or any other type of link up aside from dial up modem for most of them. I really wanted to give this a good review but after my father and I brought 2 copies and found we couldn't play together…

The games compiled are true classics and great in their own rite, but put them together and it is a true bargain. Revenge of Yuri was the main reason i got this as it was so hard to find individually. The only down side of this package is the compatibility issue, i run on windows 7 64, and it was a nightmare to get it working.,Internet to the rescue though final got it going though to a reduced screen.

Looks like LAN play is pretty shafted.

Exactly what it says it is and everything works as it should. A couple of compatability modifications had to be made to the launcher for the much older games, but they work just the same!

Awesome for bringing back those old school memories of playing the originals. How ever the release is very EA = cheap money grab with many bugs. 8 stars for the original CNC play. –5 because the money goes to EA.

Great game favourites and the ability to play multiplayer on LAN or online. Renegade (an it's online fan base) was unknown to me (and it being a First Person Shooter). Renegade has now turned out to be my favourite multiplayer online game.

All games work on Win8 but you must install the unofficial patch for all games to work, it also fixes a few other bugs and gets rid of 1gb of unnecessary files!

for those who have 4× core etc and when u load zero up and it come up with problems follow the link. it will tell u how to get the game working.. and it works…

i sure do miss this game and i YES thanks to might ape i have it again :O)

It has all the best C&C games, especially Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert 2
