Pretty much covers the main styles of kung-fu. If you talk to most martial arts sifu, teachers, and practitioners they will tell you that techniques are best learned first-hand as opposed to from a book (or DVD in this case), however if you are interested in learning about martial arts in a more general sense then this fits the bill. Hopefully watching this will stimulate interest in beginning the practice of martial arts for those who see it. Having it presented by the legend Gordon Liu is a bonus.

“Combat”, “Forms” and “Weapons”. All the elements that will make the die hard Kung Fu fan drool. From Celestial Pictures Ltd comes the new documentary; “Contemporary Styles of Kung Fu”.

Directed by Li Cham Choi and hosted by Chia Hui Liu (aka Gordon Lui - Kill Bill 2), this film will take you deep into the “The Big Five Forces of Kung Fu” – Shaolin, Wing Chun Kuen, White Crane Fist, Hong Fist and Tai Chi Chuan. It introduces the guiding principles and philosophies behind them, and is a must-see for all martialarts aficionados.
