It worked well for me but one of the fans would make a little noise as if the fan was hitting the casing around it every time it spun so I stopped using the fans. I probably did something. But this is not a problem anymore because I use the Cooler without the fans. Its a good stand for my laptop on my desk though and I use it everyday for that purpose. I wouldn't use it on my lap though because after a while it would hurt unless I had a cushion below the stand while I used it on my lap.
I didn't need the fans to force cool my laptop, and the removable fans give me a simple clean stand that seems to provide really effective passive cooling.
