"Color difference"

Good, except the shade of gray on the back of the cards differ slightly from the original coup. If you are playing with less people, you can't play the inquisitor variant as you can easily tell the difference in the two sets; card sleeves recommended.

"As if Coup wasn't fun enough already."
5 stars"

Have bought and played with so many people. It's amazing fun to watch your friends and family hone their bluffing skills, and their reactions when they get caught out. I though the base game alone was great, but the expansion revises some characters, and adds a little more competition. Creating more opportunities for blaming, back-stabbing, and fun.

"Easy to learn and fun to play"

Small changes that take no time to understand but change the game enough to warrant buying, a lot of fun with a few friends over. Because it's fun and has a quick game time this one gets played most game nights.

Description

Add more players, roles and strategy to Coup!

Driven by their successes, the Resistance has gained popular support and entire regions are in open rebellion. In a desperate attempt to stay in control, some government leaders are publicly supporting the reforms demanded by the resistance. But allegiances are constantly shifting and can be bought for the right price. The opportunity for intrigue and bluff has never been greater. The cost of failure couldn't be higher. Even with the reformation, only one can survive.

In Coup: Reformation, each player must declare himself either Loyalist or Reformist and can target only members of the other faction. Conversion is possible, however, for yourself or for another player by paying a charitable donation to the Almshouse (Treasury). Like all factions, once you have eliminated or converted the other group, you just descend into in-fighting, so there’s still only one winner and no second place.

Coup: Reformation adds a new fluid team dynamic to Coup as players jostle with their allegiance to take advantage or seek protection in the early stages of the game.
