Crack-a-Mac: Macadamia Nut Cracker reviews

We had problems using this for home grown macs. Crack-a-mac company very helpful. Turns out variety of nut grown commercially is different to the most common grown in NZ, and are usually cured before sale. Biggest suggestion was curing macs in the oven to dry them out more for more successful cracking, and to keep uncracked nuts in a sealed container afterwards to prevent them reabsorbing moisture.

Had been looking for one of these for a while as I found we have a Macadamia tree on our property. Low and behold I find one on Mighty Ape and cheap!! Works a treat so now I am able to get into them.

All good once I got the hang of cracking macadamia nuts. The product is strong and does the job well.

I already had one of these and knew it was good. I bought another for a Christmas present. It was on special and I paid less than I paid for the first one (bought at a local Farmers Market) even though I had to pay delivery this time. Delivery was super-quick. Ordered on Sunday and delivered in Rotorua on Tuesday.
