I got sick of snapping those crappy plastic ones with the wires. Yea, you know the ones. Everyone has them and they are so weak they snap and crack for no reason. Anyway, after my quest to find a better slicer I have finally ended my lengthy campaign and cherish my prize. Seriously just buy this thing!

I got this because I was tired of replacing plastic cheese slicers all the time. This one doesn't actually last any better, you can't even get replacement wires.

Just use a knife.

As far as cheese slicers go, this seems to do its job well. But I quickly came to the realisation that I can get the same results with less annoying cleaning and setup, by using a knife. Knife slices through cheese like a knife, and can be used for many other things that a cheese slicer cannot be, and cleaning is a snap. So my five star cheese slicer is… Knife.

Wire loosens easily and is quite difficult to get back to a reasonable tension

After using this for 4 weeks the wire has loosened and stretched out (and is not able to be adjusted) I do not recommend this product.

We have struggled with cheese slicers, continually breaking them. This one feels more sturdy, and we are therefore hopeul that it is going to last a long time for us.

Was a great replacement for our old cheese slicer which was stretching. Very easy to use.

I bought this on the back of a stellar review from another buyer and not wanting to add anymore of those sh#t plastic ones to the environment,
but was sadly disappointed. Awkward to use, the wire stretched out within days. I've gone back to a knife… maybe it was too good (cheap) to be true..

Works ok, but I will probably just keep using a knife instead. Doesn't work as brilliantly as I was hoping.

This is the best thing since sliced… Ummm… Cheese- The only thing I need to know is, where can I get replacement cutting wire if it ever breaks-

This kitchen gadget is brilliant and it is good as you can adjust the size.

Really good quality cheese slicer

It feels very lightweight compared to similar slicers I've used. The roller is a light plastic. I'm not sure how durable it will be in the long run. On the other hand, it slices hard cheeses very well. It's a huge improvement over those plastic supermarket slicers. Definitely worth the price.
