I find it hard to review things because it's so influenced by personal taste, but I saw Dancer in the theatres as my friend wanted to watch it. It was well filmed, it only felt overly intrusive on a couple of occasions (I know they want to evoke emotions but I tend to be uncomfortable when it's too too personal); I was glad to have learned about Sergei Polunin's life. There's also some pretty spectacular dancing, naturally! Basically if you like somewhat sad documentaries about remarkable people's lives it's great.

This documentary isn't just about dance but about the human condition and the desire to be great, against whatever odds. I highly recommend.

Would watch it again so glad I have a copy of my own now
Great viewing, a must watch for all ballet lovers. Amazing talent and could of been the best male ballet dancer of all time if he didn't struggle so much mentally!
