Dark Souls III: Bonfire (Light Up) – 1/6 Scale Statue
One of the most important objects which represent the game concept, the theme, and philosophy of the “Dark Souls” series, the Bonfire, is finally turned into a 1/6 scale statue with light-up function.
This Bonfire statue is made under the supervision of the FromSoftware design
team to ensure all its details are recreated faithfully: the carbonized bone ash
under the Coiled Sword, the weak fire that seems will fade in any second, and
the grass that grows from the earth surrounding the warmth of the fire.
“Fire” and “ash” are representing “life” and “death”, while the
fire grows from ashes, the grass grows because of the light the warmth of the
fire, and the Ashen One regains power and revives from the fire. A new life
comes after another's death. The Bonfire is a symbol of the “life
cycle”.
The statue features a light-up function to recreate a lit Bonfire. By lighting
up it, the only safe place that has calmed you down and let you take a rest from
the dangerous world in the game can be brought to you and perhaps it has the
same effect in the real world.
The Coiled Sword can be pulled out from the Bonfire. By putting the Coiled Sword into the Bonfire, you are not only assembling the statue but experiencing what you did to make the Bonfire in the Firelink Shrine regaining its flame in the Dark Souls III.
