Description

An in-depth history and celebration of the Tele in honour of its 60th birthday. The Fender Telecaster is not just a guitar - it's an icon. As the first production solid-body guitar, it set the style for everything that followed and has been seen in the hands of legends from Muddy Waters to Johnny Marr; from Jeff Beck to Joe Strummer. This is the first illustrated history devoted to the legendary Tele. It covers the development of the guitar and the famous players who made it their own, from the first prototype in 1949 to the most up-to date models, taking in landmark instruments like the Esquire, Broadcaster and the infamous 'Nocaster' on the way.
