I've been feeling lately that wizkids minis have been getting too much paint primer slathered on them, they lose a bit of finer detail they'd otherwise have, which is unfortunate and these bois faces suffer from it.
But they have very nice designs which have their own personality, but yes it is the personality of an orc, so it dies fall into near stereotypical ground.
However, they're one of my favourite miniature renditions of the more orcish people, I find some of their older minis far too cartoonish. These two look wonderful and they have lighter, home-made, looking armour, not the usual hefty metal stuff, which I feel make you question their culture and background more than just “oh they took it from a dead guy.”
Raising questions like: Who taught them to make armour- What beasts hide did they use- Do orcs sew in their spare time-
And I like that kind of potential for what could be construed as environmental story telling.
