"Another great read in the series"
4 stars"

Another of Harris' books in the Sookie Stackhouse collection, this delves into the darker side of the fae world and we get to know more about Sookie's Great Grandfather. Yes there is a whole lot more Eric for those of you who like him. There is always adventure in Sookie's life and this is no different.

This book was awesome and even better is knowing that these books are ahead of True Blood series on TV. I'm intriqed on what and how the different things I read Will be translated in the series on TV.

"Loved it!"

If you've read the rest of the series and loved it, you wont be disapointed with this one! I just couldn't put the book down. There is plenty more action, vampires and Sookie Stackhouse to go around. I just hope this isn't the last book in the series.

""I can't wait for the next installment""

I enjoyed reading this book but after the last book I was expecting a bit more. While this book explored relationships between Sookie and her extended family. Harris also introduced some new characters which will be interesting to see how the storylines around these characters will develop further.

Like another reader on here I felt this book was an “in between book”. In my view this does seem to be a theme, in this series. In saying that, I felt this book was setting the foundation for the next lot of drama in Sookies life.

I really can't wait for the next installment to see how this plays out.

"Loved it!" Purchased on Mighty Ape

I've enjoyed all the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series and this one was no exception.

"Lots of new threads"

Fans will enjoy returning to BonTemps for the tenth time. However I found that there was almost too much happening this time, with a number of new characters and plot threads, and too little time spent on each. It felt a bit rushed. Still, there was lots of action and the story has started to turn in a new direction (or two) so the next few books should be very interesting.

"Great Book!"

Another great book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Going further in the relationship between Sookie and Eric. Seeing the darker side of the fairies. Great book!

"Traditional Harris piece of art"

This latest instalment in the Stackhouse series does not disappoint. Sookie finds herself, once again, the centre of Alcide's pack dramas, the landlord to some dead bodies (not of the fanged variety either) and host to friends of Eric's past who will have you reeling in flashback of Bubba.

The book in itself is not a crucial part of an overriding story arc, and seems more of an ‘in between book’ with the reader getting to the end before realising anything of any importance has occured. Although personally I found disappointment in some of the Fey elements Harris has opted to use in both this book (namely an event at the end – won't give it away!) but this, at least for me, is a trait of Harris and fey (if you did not like the short story about the fey triplets then you will probably not like this either).

None the less this is a fantastic read, and one I chewed through in two sittings and highly recommend to any Stackhouse addict.
