Author Biography

Gerry Duggan received the education he needed to write from a steady diet of comic books and Late Night With David Letterman. He didn't know that...so he wasted a ton of money on a pricey diploma from Emerson College in Boston. After graduating, he arrived in Los Angeles and hooked up almost immediately with Brian Posehn. Together, they've written Marvel NOW!'s Deadpool, The Simpsons and The Last Christmas, the true story of Santa Claus after the apocalypse. Both he and artist Phil Noto earned Eisner Award nominations for The Infinite Horizon, a re-imagining of The Odyssey in a dystopian future. He also counts Nova and a three-part tale in A+X among his roster of Marvel titles. Brian Posehn was born a long time ago and fell in love with comic books at a very young age. He decided to wait to write them until he was in his forties. Before embarking on a career in comic-book writing, he floated through a series of odd jobs - including stand up comedy, TV writing and film and sitcom acting. Since arriving at Marvel, he feels he's found his true calling, but will continue to do "the other crap for fun." Throughout the 1990s, Scott Koblish inked his way across the Marvel Multiverse with runs on Captain America, Elektra, G.I. Joe, Marc Spector: Moon Knight, Marvel Comics Presents, Punisher War Journal and multiple titles in the X-Men and 2099 subgenres. He later inked his own pencils on Uncanny X-Men: First Class and Wolverine: First Class, then moved to the Marvel Adventures line, providing art for issues of that imprint's versions of Avengers, Fantastic Four, Iron Man and other titles. Artist, designer and cartoonist Mike Hawthorne has worked for Marvel Comics, DC/Vertigo, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, Image, Oni Press, Fox Films, Universal Studios and other clients during the course of his career, earning nominations for Eisner and Harvey awards along the way. He got his start by self-publishing the Think-Tank Comics series Hysteria, which led to work on other publishers' titles such as Grendel: Red, White & Black, Noble Causes: Extended Family and Queen & Country.
