Death By Peppermint is an historical epic set in Leicestershire's Vale of Belvoir, but stretches to the penal settlements of Van Dieman's Land. Peppermint Billy grew up in poor social conditions, and became victim to the merciless justice system of the 1840s that sent men, women and children across the world for three counts of petty crime. He returned unexpectedly from his transportation, seeking vengeance on the man who sent him away through a double murder in the Toll Gate House. Billy fled, was caught and put on trial before the Lord Chief Justice of England.
