The Death Note series is an all over epic classic of Mystery, Drama, Horror, Crime and Supernatural plots which will captivate and amaze you with every seccond. It will make you seccond guess every event and become attached to the characters which makes the story all the more engulfing.

What really made me love this series is its unmistakable perfection of suspense. Every episode will leave you begging for more, and yet there are no horrible cliffhangers! The ending of this series really pushed it to become one of my all time favorites. I highly recommend

Despite the fact that I was verily overwhelmed by things to do, I still set them all aside to watch hour upon hour of this little beauty. Well worth it; never bored for a minute and it concluded beautifully!

Death Note is the best anime I've seen for a long time and rates highly in my top 5 of all time. The story is fascinating and with it's many twists and turns you'll always be wondering what will happen next. Not only that but your alliances will swing like a pendulum. The characters have depth and their interaction with each other is excellent. A truely great anime that will leave you guessing right to the end.

Love this show and the original manga! L will forever be my favourite character <3 First chance I have had in a long time to re-watch the whole series and so happy to find it in a box set so I don't end up with a billion dvd's. Highly recommended for any anime fan!

Two geniuses in an epic tug of war of the mind.

While I didn't in fact buy this product, I have however watched the series. Death note is an outstanding anime, leaves me mentally exhausted after every episode, with some increasing my heart rate to the point I had to stop and figure out what just happened. One of the most memorable animes I have watched, if you are thinking about getting this, however you are unaware of the quality, I would definitely recommend Death note as it is beautiful.

Brilliant!!

The plot and character development in this story are fantastic- it is gripping and highly entertaining. If you enjoyed series like cowboy bebop you will probably like this. It is a little dark in parts and may not really be suitable for kids. Also, the change of theme music in the second half of the series is amazing.

Deathnote very compelling plot that will have you cheering for the antagonist. 8 disc set that's definitely worth the purchase.

To put into perspective a gave this to my sister who never watched a anime series in her life and now i'm fighting just to get the box-set back. I'll tell you what I told her, this anime gets you so absorbed into story that you forget your watching an animation…its just THAT GOOD and I will continue to recommend this to anyone.

before i start the review, Death note was the first anime i'd watch that wasn't dragon ball or something made by 4kids. To me, Death note is the reason why i became a anime fan became of its dark tone and smart plot. Unlike most anime, Death note makes you think about how would someone make the world criminal free. The story follows a boy named light. one day light had found a Death note on the ground. Little did he know the notebook had the power to kill a human.From the day he learn the power he made his ultimate goal. Bring justice to the world. what makes Death note the hit it is that it broke the wall between childish and a dark, well planed story, and ideas to think about. Bottom Line. If you are a big anime fan its criminal not to watch it.
