Diablo II: Battle Chest reviews

I am currently replaying all the games in this set and they are amazing. Find myself staying up really late just to see what happens next. Really good story and cinematics are just a awsome bonus on the addictive gameplay. Best time to get it as it will last you till Diablo 3

These games are terribly addictive, simple (you play mainly with the mouse), yet complex in its simplicity. These games define the dungeon crawler genre and are a must have in every gamers collection. The graphics dated well and it is highly playable even today. Last time I logged onto battlenet, there were 36,000 others playing. Oh did I mention the online multiplayer is free? Well it is, the only problem I have had with the game is the multiplayer servers can be slow sometimes, and are unlikely to be updated.

Diablo II: Battle Chest is an amazing package. Diablo II and with the Lords of Destruction expansion pack offers a game with an amazing amount of depth in story and character development. The Battle Chest package comes with a strategy guide helping you get through the game if need be, but more importantly helping you understand the different development paths you can take your character.

Best RPG ever

Its been 6 years and still as timeless as ever. Comes with Diablo 2 and its expansion Lord of Destruction. Still as fun and addicting as ever, 12/10 best game ever!!!!

Held up well in spite of its age. Installing larger inventory mods helps. Couldn't get the 1920×1080 res mod to work

You can play this game over and over again. Changing the characters adds more challenge to the game by giving you different strengths and abilities. I find the male characters are stronger and easier to play with, the females take a while to build up their strength and seem to get killed easier. I usually play single player, but as you can play online that can also add a new level of fun to the game. And when you finish the game you can start all over again with the same character and make them even stronger. A decent game for wasting away some hours.

I brought this as i have mates that play it… generally i'm anti crap graphics.. but with this classic you have nothing to lose, wicked fun game play plenty to do and collect and a awesome and very active multiplayer… i would recommend having people to play with tho as its a little old playing solo (my opinion for that reason i give it a 4 rating)

This game is so old now and those buying this game are most likely getting their Diablo groove back on before the long awaited third installment comes out. For this audience, they know what they are getting.

For anyone that hasn't played Diablo before, the game is still a great game and has some great gameplay, but the graphics have not aged well at all. Good fun though.

This game has all the elements that make up a fantastic RPG and completely refurbishes the older Diablo engine. While I don't recommend this game to all gamers out there, there is an appeal that goes beyond the lower res graphics that might turn you off initially.

Essentially Diablo 2 is an endless RPG in an almost open environment, even after finishing the game there is still the option of killing previously vanquished foes and bosses or even upping the difficulty to the next level (normal for new characters and then nightmare, then hell). Diablo 2 + the expansion also allows players two more characters and the chance of finishing off the storyline as a single Diablo 2 installation holds the suspense with only allowing players to destroy the fabled demon Diablo for good before the game concludes.

Diablo 2 can be the best game in your collection or the worst depending on how you look at it, the game is still a big hit online at Blizzard .net and is also a good game to play for the heck of it when you want to go on a killing rampage, killing bosses can be a challenge no matter level you are as long as you are on the right difficulty.. etc etc. Though the game has repetitive levels and very differences of pallet In single areas (few variations of monsters in one smaller area), there is no denying the game can be adrenalin pumping in a tough 100 Vs. 1–16 fight and satisfying when you clear a chapter of the demonic boss at the end.

Diablo 2 picks up relatively where Diablo 1 leaves off, while you don't need to have finished the first instalment to understand what is going on… I definitely suggest you do so (Diablo is available in most bargain bins) just so you can the gist of what has happened and who the mysterious stranger walking about with Diablo inside is and what they are doing. Diablo is attempting to free his brothers Mephisto and Baal from the same imprisonment he recently escaped, while releasing hordes of his followers upon the world as he does so. Being the player, you choose a hero of a particular class. (Paladin, Barbarian, Necromancer, Sorceress, Druid, Assassin, Amazon..) and then let loose on the world, killing all demons in your way as you search for Diablo and ultimately kill him. (not much of a give-away for anyone who knows anything about these games… and that the game has been out for ages now)

This game is a real-time, point and click adventure with the skills of blizzard tempering and already awesome game into an amazing one, the repetitiveness of the game is only outshone by the scope and length of how far the creators went into pouring their hearts and souls into it.

Besides, Diablo 3 shall be coming out soon… why not see where it all began to see where its going?

This is just a game every RPG player can't stop playing. I played this game a few years back and I still enjoy playing it..I love it! I also got an amazing deal. This battle chest is just what I needed to finish HELL mode…and cheers to Mighty Ape for quick shipment and excellent service..

After all these years there are still millions who play these games online! The Diablo series has got to be the definitive Hack and Slash RPGs as they are still loved by fans all around the world! This battle chest is a great bundle, including the original Diablo and Diablo II with it's expansion! It's absolutely awesome and still plays fresh to this very day! =)
