"Doctor Who reaches new heights in Series 5"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Fifth Series of Doctor Who seems different to the previous four seasons of the revitalized show, which is an excellent thing. With a crazy new Doctor (portrayed excellently by Matt Smith), a sassy new companion (played by the beautiful Karen Gillan) and, most importantly, a new Head writer (the brilliant Steven Moffat, mastermind behind the Weeping Angels), Series 5 takes Doctor Who to new, unprecedented heights. With a complex storyline that runs through the entire series, hilarious dialogue, scary and brilliantly imagined monsters, a host of brilliant characters and a promise of more greatness to come, Series 5 is the best Series of Doctor Who yet. The boxset contains all 13 episodes, tons of great extras, and quite simply is a brilliant purchase for old and new fans alike.

"No David Tennant but Matt Smith has his own style about him."

More quirkey, more ranty. Once was I time there would never be a doctor as good as Tom Baker… Stories are as good as ever, and ‘Amy Pond’ has a great set of legs! Looking forward to the next series. No ‘special’ episode included in the set…

a must for any Doctor Who fan with the introduction of what would become the 12th Doctor and of course the Ponds. It also featured the return of a classic Who villain the Silurians. All in all this made Series 5 was a good watch and with the dvd also having a healthy dose of extras it is well worth the expense especially when its on sale
