Description

In Don't Forget To Smell The . . . Sawdust, Scott Stevenson answers the question, "What do you do when the person you love most comes down with a life threatening illness?" This is a love story between Scott and his wife Susan who retire and move to a small mountain town to live the simple life and to build their dream home. But instead of the simple life, Scott and Susan find themselves on an unexpected journey through hospitals, reconstructive surgery, hardware stores, and forest fires. This is a tale of two people supporting each other through cancer, through the construction of their new home, and through the largest recorded forest fire in the state of California. Scott and Susan share with us their most intimate of fears, their most cherished moments of joy, their tears, their laughter, their anger, and most of all they show us what it takes to support, through thick and thin, the one you love most.

Author Biography:

SCOTT STEVENSON lives outside San Diego, California in the small mountain town of Julian. He lives with his wife Susan and three mysterious cats who seemed to have wandered uninvited into their lives but have somehow maneuvered themselves into being essential family members. Don't Forget To Smell The . . . Sawdust is based on Scott's personal experiences and on a lifetime of asking questions, keeping his eyes and ears open, and on trying to figure out what makes this funny world of ours go round. This is Scott's second book.
