These work. Admittedly my 3 y/o boy did manage to break one in half and get out of the door but he is extremely hyperactive and puts everything to the test. I pinched some of hubby's heavy duty tape from the garage and put it back together. It has been very effective since. I have these on all my doors with round handles now and have just a little more sanity.
