Frances Barry was born and grew up in Hertfordshire. Growing up, she loved reading, writing and making things and went on to study painting at art college, followed by a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Academy. She is the creator of Duckie's Rainbow (9781406331868) and other books about the lovable duck including Duckie's Wish (9781844288502), as well as the novelty Fold Out and Find Out nature books.
