"Very pretty game but very linear in game play"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This was a big let down from DS2, a bit like NWN2. It is a very pretty game and the graphics are brilliant but you go very much from A to B to C without venturing much off the main quest track. There are other quests but again they are not far off track. The monsters are pretty tough as the fighter but you get through the game fairly quickly. It was a good 25 hours of gameplay but it could of been sooo much better, what a shame.

"A bit dissappointing"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

If all you want from an RPG is great visuals and a dialogue with NPC's that really draw you into the storyline; then this is one of the best on the market atm. But if you want to have a reasonable camera control in your game, and have a bit of space to go exploring ect; then forget this game. DS 1 was the best. A linear storyline with non-linear spaces to explore. DS 2 became a bit linear in storyline and explorability, with slightly improved graphics. DS 3 has the wow factor in gfx and when you follow the chatting with the NPC's it really draws you into the game. But with replaying this game a couple of times this does not begin to even mask the lineararity of the game play. The respawning of the mobs helps a little, but not a heck of a lot. I give 3 stars, and feel I am generous in that.

"Seriously lacking"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Played it for about 10 minutes and then uninstalled it. The controls are terrible and unintuitive. Maybe they work better on consoles but they've ruined things on the pc in the process. Viewing angles are too tight and restrictive so half the time you are getting killed by npcs you can't even see. Overall there are better games and unless you can get it for under $20 its not even worth looking at.

Witcher II would be a much better proposition if you want a great rpg with rich storyline and exciting gameplay.

"It's entertaining"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There is a bit of hate going around about this title but I am not sure why. It is what its is a fun diablo hack and slash with an above average story. It is better than dragon age 2. But it does start to feel a bit linear after a while.

"Ridiculously Short"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is very dull and is not what it was expected to be, I highly recommend not buying this game unless you enjoy previous Dungeon Siege games, but this game just didnt feel like a normal RPG.

Its not worth your money as the game is extremely short and is probably at least like 20 hours of gameplay. Really short for a game that didnt live up to its hype.

Gameplay is alright, not exciting but ridiculous at that. Needs a better understanding of its consumers when it comes to being in the game itself.

"Decent."

Purchased on Mighty Ape

It's really fun & at times it is full of action… But it gets boring really fast & you just have no motivation to play it anymore..

"More realistic unit rendition but that is about it"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Significant improvements in the rendition of the characters on the original but actually less aesthetically attractive. Game play is much the same as per other reviews and movement control & camera angle is actually no better at best. Overall the first Dungeon Seige is still tops.

"I paid $20 for this...-"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I loved the original Dungeon Siege. I gritted my teeth through DS2. I even watched the movie with Jason Statham. I paid $20.00 for this version of the game through Mighty Ape (when it was a Daily Special a few weeks ago). I love MA and don't want to shoot the messenger, but this is the worst game I've ever spent money to own. The game play is poorly designed – with limited top-down 3D view. The combat system is random, with your character firing off in any direction but at the target. The levels are railroad. You can only go one way and there's no deviation. I survived an hour of game play. Died, and then inspite of saving at every save point, I was told my save game was corrupted. I'd sell my copy, but I would feel bad about ruining someone's gaming experience.

"Dreadful"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I really enjoyed Dungeon Siege 1 & 2 – getting many days enjoyment out of DS2 in particular. DS3 is a real dissapointment – PC controls are abysmal with control of your character difficult and imprecise. Camera view is limited too – limits visual appeal. The Limited edition's “goodies” weren't worth commiting to an early purchase either in future. It's a shame that the studio obviously worked to a deadline and haven't delivered a product worth playing.

"Not Good for PC"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Use Xbox controllers on PC . DO NOT use keyboard.

And Then..

You'll be disappointed by naff graphics, terrible camera angles, boring gameplay and average sound. It should be a budget release on Steam as that's how the size/quality aspects seems to me. Worth about $20. Agree the limited edition is NOT worth it. Play Torchlight for a blast instead, or Sacred 2, or Titan Quest and Expansion. AVOID THIS! B

"Boring, terrible and sexist-"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I was absolutely astonished right from the start when the only choices of a female character were a flaming tart or Lara Croft. Further more to discover I could not even change their name, let alone appearance, armor, weapons or class.

I'm also rather confused about how a hair clip can add to your armor class, how you can march up and down hills and even fight in heels. Nor can I see any practicality in a reveling shirt, shorts and stockings as armor.

The tutorial pop-ups were useless and would disapear straight away so I had to firgure out how everything worked myself. Fortunately there isn't much to learn. It is very basic. The graphics could have been the only redeeming feature, but it is no better than other much older games.

This truely is a step back for gaming evolution.

"Give it a go!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Everyone compares it to the last two and it utterly fails. But I never played the last two, I consider it being pretty good. Although I still have bit of a wish it was a bit closer to dark alliance.
