During the 1960s he had an international hit, "Make the World Go Away," was the first "Entertainer of the Year" for the Country Music Association and was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Don Cusic is the Curb Professor of Music Industry History at Belmont University in Nashville and is one of the leading historians of country music.
