This booklet is soft-cover, basically a magazine. It does briefly cover all aspects of preparing and painting miniatures, with lots of pictures. Each topic gets a couple of paragraphs, and then multiple pictures with comments about each. The painting section is the most detailed, but this is definitely an overview booklet. Ok for beginners, but no use if you already have some experience.
