…and how humble it was. This is where the Empire of River Cottage first began. It's a great opportunity to learn as Hugh learns from the homespun wisdom of his neighbours but also from Hugh himself. Despite beginning a beginner to rural life he has plenty of tips, tricks, skills and enormous enthusiasm that he manges to pass on to his viewer. My 4 year old son calls this DVD “Vegables” and has been a keen helper in the garden since we started to grow some of the food that Hugh grows and cooks. We all love it and have been inspired by it.
