"Brilliant and, sadly, one of a kind!"

I moved across the world, and missing my friends I wished for a way I could keep in touch with them, playfully and interactively without relying only on computers. There is a beauty to getting something in the mail. These postcards are perfect for this. I am sending them back to friends and making them take pictures of the results, and email them to me- now we can still play and be silly even though we are a world away. Thank you!

Description

Everything Is Connected book with 50 postcards, from the inspirational creator of “Wreck this Journal”, Keri Smith.

Keri Smith's Everything is Connected is not just a book of postcards. It's a series of experiments designed to shake us out of our ruts. Through the ingenious use of the common postcard, Keri Smith encourages us to embark on a quest to reanimate everyday life. No matter how hard we try, everyday life always becomes predictable. From the toothpaste we use and the clothing we wear, to the way we talk and what we do in our free time, we follow the same habits, most likely because someone told us to, or we never really gave it much thought to begin with.

But what if we could shape our lives into our own vision, informed with our own desires and passions? What if we had the power to create our own realities whenever we wished – just by changing the way we perform simple tasks?

Leave notes in public for strangers, dream up a tiny imaginary world, summon magic powers, draw a portrait of yourself as a hero, create your own treasure map, or access a secret portal whenever you wish. Don't you just love getting something unexpected in the mail?
