I have seen this movie many times after buying it at armageddon and I love it. I quite like how it incorporates soundtrack from the series with new ones for this film. If you're a die-hard fan of Fairy Tail, I highly recommend this one.

Much like the One Piece movies, it makes the most sense in the context of the series, even though it is stand alone. Hence I recommend watching it somewhere around collection 11 of the series, the stage is set character wise around there
I was really looking forward to this movie, totally disappointed. The story is pretty weak and quite a few characters look entirely different, not to mention a character who shouldn't be there was there… Looked up why Jet and Troy look different, turns out the movie is pretty much 7 years in the future from where the series is now. And the character (who shouldn't be there) is a major spoiler >_< Gutted

Natsu and the team, who are looking forward to the big reward, set out to the place of request in high spirits. With the request failed..Lucy, who was depressed and by herself, met a mysterious girl named Eclair and a strange bird named Momon on her way home. Eclair somehow lost her memory, and the only thing she remembers is that she must deliver the “Phoenix Stone” in her possession to somewhere. Eclair, who hates magic, and the secrets hidden within the Phoenix Stone…this meeting is the start of a brand new enemy, and a sinister plot that will confront Fairy Tail.
