Tehe pop. Okay this band is definitely pop but it's nice pop. They have nice guitars and nice singing and nice melodies but yeah that's about it. It's a good album but their just another pop band. Not rock! It's nice to listen to if you just want a relaxing sound but otherwise meh.

Description

“FAST TIMES AT BARRINGTON HIGH” is The Academy Is … 3rd album. Produced by Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Gym Class Heroes, The Virgins, Metro Station) in New York City, “FAST TIMES …” is preceded by the 1st single, “About A Girl.”

“FAST TIMES AT BARRINGTON HIGH” follows close on the heels of TAI’s acclaimed second album, “SANTI.” Released in April 2007, the album – which featured the single “We’ve Got A Big Mess On Our Hands” – drew ecstatic praise. The band was feted in Rolling Stone as one of 2007’s “10 Artists To Watch,” where “SANTI” was hailed for combining “heart-on-sleeve melodrama with a hard-rock swagger.”
