Fire Emblem: Awakening reviews

I bought this without having played any of the other Fire Emblem games and I'm having a blast. The game is turn based and has you developing a squad of soliders who level up through combat. You can develop their relationships by having them fight alongside one another, which improves their battle skills – it can even result in marriage! This is a deep and robust game that I'm getting a LOT of time out of. Highly recommended!

As an incredibly experienced gamer, it is not often that a game often moves me.

Fire Emblem Awakening is one of the best games I have ever played. The turn based combat is challenging, the visuals amazing, and the characters actually drive the story. I cannot count the amount of times I restarted this game to save some one from dying.

This is a must buy for any 3DS owner. Heck it is even good enough to warrant buying a 3DS just to play. Don't miss out!

As a fan of the Fire Emblem series, this one is the best iteration with the most memorable cast of characters. It's simple enough for first timers to TRPGs and has enough optional complexity and depth for veterans with tons of re-playability.

This was the game that made me realize that my 3DS was more than just a $300 Pokemon machine. A superb turn based RPG, with a cast of unique, engaging characters. I'm on my third playthrough, with no end in sight.

Addictive combat, hilarious character interactions, moving story line, and well worked combat mechanics. I was absolutely enthralled by this game for the first two months of having it. MUST HAVE for the 3DS.

A great looking game that has an awesome story and fluid game play with tons of add-ons and extras. Very difficult to keep characters alive even while playing on hard mode Though.

I am thoroughly enjoying Fire Emblem: Awakening so much! It's great for any age as it's not terribly difficult but can still provide that edge of a challenge. I love the cut scenes and the plot of the story is so intriguing and interesting to follow along. I can guarantee I will get many more fun hours of play out of this game to come. Well worth the money.

With a strong story and great characters, combined with an amazing tactical game style, it's a must buy for any 3DS owner.

I still recall being captivated original Fire Emblem (at least the first Western release of a Fire Emblem game), many years ago. I devoured it's sequel shortly thereafter, but then lost touch with the series. Recently picked up Path of Radiance and played through it on my Shield Android TV and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then I started this one. Wow. Big step up in presentation, and really liked the new gameplay mechanics. Whether you're a long time fan of the series or a newcomer, this is one not be missed.

It went against everything i believed in to pay almost $90 for a Nintendo game. I think its sick to charge that much especially when you consider I got the witcher 3 for $89 Most nintendo games can be made by anyone with RPG maker so i've always thought they should never be more than $30 a game even that s pushing it. But i cracked on this one bought the game and its absolutely worth it. Proper anime movie cinematics and voiced dialogue i can see where my $90 has gone. Awesome story, Character growth and the class system is insane! You will love it when your army is getting demolished and you last remaining paladin lays waste to 20+ enemies single handedly (i think that class is broken) BUY THIS GAME

I've never been familiar with Nintendo's Fire Emblem series in the past, but this one manages to introduce new players to the games (You can turn off permanent character deaths) yet still satisfy the veterans. A well-written story, addictive game play, and a brilliant soundtrack, all add up to one my personal favorite 3ds experiences so far.

This is one of those games that starts off with a few basic rules and then adds more with each mission. The rules make sense so after a while it becomes very complex but with simple elements. I love the story and am having trouble putting the game down.

I fell in love with the characters, I got hooked on the gameplay and it's one of the best tactic RPG games ever.

I have played all of the classic Fire Emblem games and this one here, trumps them all. The rich story line, memorable characters and amazing soundtrack are back from the early years. The DLC is worth it as old school fans such as myself can relive all the memories of older characters. Well worth it

I bought my 2DS with Pokemon Y and this game. This game beats Pokemon Y hands down. It's fun and there's a proper story to follow. It also made me think. Pokemon Y is classic Pokemon. Don't expect a gripping story.

This game is simply a must have. Every 3/2DS should be bundled with this game.

I have only ever played one of the Fire Emblem games in the series which was ‘FE: Sacred Stones’ and thoroughly enjoyed it. This takes Fire Emblem to another level with the moving story, fun and lovable characters, amazing combat strategy and interesting relationships between characters.

For anyone who wants a satisfying game to add to their 3DS collection or even thinking about a game to start with for the 3DS, THIS IS the game.

The experience of playing through really moved me, it takes a good story such as this to make it worthwhile playing and will be one I definitely intend to play through multiple times, taking on each difficulty.

This game alone is worth getting a 3DS, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome game, The Fire Emblem games are always worth a buy.

It appears to be the European version of the game so you won't be able to register it with club Nintendo. Really wish that was in the description somewhere but its not that big a deal club N is kinda crap anyways and this game is awesome :)

Such an amazing game, from the get go and the detailed character creation for your own Avatar makes the game feel more personal. The extra add-ons and the large amount of characters make the game exciting.

Fans of the series will not be disappointed, I'm a huge fan of the SRPG genre and have just fallen in love with this game. Amazing pacing and flow, great challenge and tactics, awesome characters and relationship building. Best mobile gaming experience I've had in years.
