"5 for nostalgia, but 1 for production"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I love playing games that give you that nostalgic feeling and FBM was one of my favs of all time.

I had high hopes for this game. The playability and fun factor (especially with younger kids) hasn't disappointed but damn, most of the pieces are low in production value for what you're paying.

The character figures are very low quality and VERY flimsy, 2 of mine actually bent straight out of the box. The box itself is a cheap excuse of a box. The 3D map itself is ok quality but nothing like what they advertised in their KS campaign. And have fun getting everything back into the box – I actually had to look for an example on youtube!

If you compare this with other games in the same price bracket like any of the DD games, or even older classics like Space Hulk at the same price point – the quality of components just doesn't compare.

FBM is a truly nostalgic game but be mindful that you're paying the high price just for that feeling and not the quality.

"Low quality board, unclear rules, but fun for the kids"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I'm really disappointed in the quality of the playing board – within two games there are marks and cracks on it, it's not well made for the intended purpose of having marbles rolling across it. The rules are unclear and game-play is a bit stilted and unintuitive. The kids enjoy rolling the marbles though and it's good for imaginative play.
