Sandra S. Navarro holds a doctorate in Anthropology. Her personal narratives are informed works about people and places in the United States and about societal change on family members and collective family lore. An educator with four decades' experience, Dr. Navarro is an active member of the California Writers Club, one of the nation's oldest professional organizations for writers. She lives in the Sacramento, California area, far from the Maryland countryside of her youth, with her family.
