"Not the TV show! Very different and I believe much better... "

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I read this after having watched most of the TV show – and I amused myself by working out which characters had been used for that, and which hadn't. The book gives an explanation for the phenomena, refreshingly, no terrorists or criminals are involved – no evil Arabs or crazy women. This book is both science-fictional and philosophical – a tad depressing, and a bit sweary, but overall, a very good read. The characterisation is very good, everyone is well-rounded and no one is a cliched ‘type’.

Description

The Hadron Collider is turned on and everyone in the world goes to sleep for a few moments. In those few moments everyone's consciousness is catapulted forward more than twenty years into the future. When it awakes the world must live with the knowledge of what is to come. Some saw themselves in new relationships, some saw exciting new technologies, some saw the stuff of nightmares. Some, young and old alike, saw nothing at all and must live with the certainty that they have less than 20 years left.
