Description

FROM POOR UNEDUCATED FARMER FOLK who came to America from Czechoslovakia and other parts of Europe, to fulfill their hopes for freedom and to have an opportunity to find their way out of oppression, ignorance, and poverty, YOU have inherited the courage, the hope, and the vision to become part of the dream and the freedom that is offered by this country called America. I write this story for all you children and your progeny as a reminder of the humble beginnings of your ancestors. I also wanted to share with you how your father, M. Frank, and your grandfather, John, faced adversity and the changing world and accepted the challenges that life offered. This story comes from the desire to reveal the foundation on which my life was built, and the choices I made, as well as showing you the hopes that your ancestors dreamed for themselves and for you. I offer these insights to you as a guide for your journey toward your dreams and your goals. Also, this history of our family is offered so that you can see how you have benefited from the foundation on which our lives were built.
