"Great expansion on a familiar story"

While not quite as good as its predecessor, this 40th Anniversary collection of stories certainly provides an interesting background to many of the scenes in TESB. Some of the POV chapters seemed somewhat contrived – such as those written from the perspectives of a wampa, the cave on Dagobah, and the space slug living on the asteroid which provided temporary refuge to the Millennium Falcon – but the majority of the chapters were entertaining and developed many side characters from the film. I look forward to the ROTJ edition in a few years. If you enjoyed this and have yet to read the Star Wars anthology that preceded it, I recommend you check it out.
