Lizabeth Allison is currently the Dorman Family Term Distinguished Professor of Biology at the College of William and Mary. Recently she was honored by the State Council on Higher Education in Virginia with the "Commonwealth's Outstanding Faculty" award. Dr. Allison's award-winning dedication to her students and to the art of teaching are well-reflected in her textbook, the first edition of which has been adopted for use by colleges and universities across the United States and Europe.
