Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle
for the Iron Throne continues.
Nine noble families fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros,
while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for thousands of years.
The final season depicts the culmination of the series' two primary
conflicts: the great battle at Winterfell against the Army of the Dead, and the
final battle in King's Landing for control of the Iron Throne.
Unlike the first six seasons, which consisted of ten episodes each, and the
seventh season, which consisted of seven episodes, the eighth season consists of
only six episodes.
